Back to school is an exciting time - especially for moms who are looking foreword to their house staying clean for more than 3 hours each day. But it can also be an anxious time for kiddos. To help bring a smile to my kids, I like to do a special treat when school starts back up.
Candy grams have been a long standing tradition with my kids on the first day of school. Ready or not - it's that time again!
Every year looks different in when, where and what they get. One year was so crazy that they simply got an XL candy bar with the tag, "We are raising the "BAR" this year. Good luck with school." I get it - life can be crazy. But it's crazy for our kids too, and I want them to know school is awesome and I am here for them.
So here's the who, what, when, where, why of my back-to-school candy grams.
WHO: all those little humans in your house who raided your pantry all summer.
WHAT: candy & tags - anything to bring a smile!
WHEN: Usually the first day of school but now I put one treat on their bed everyday for the first week of school. It's there each day when they get home.
WHERE: in their locker, lunch box, car, bed, etc. My favorite is when they go off to middle school and high school. I would sneak up to the school on the first day - break into their locker - and leave the candy grams inside. Since covid my kids don't use lockers anymore.
WHY: because we love these little stinkers! There's really no right or wrong way to show love and support.
